Culture and charm in Andalusia
Itinerary
01 MON / FRI. Madrid – Granada .-
Departure from Madrid early in the morning. We travel south through La Mancha, stopping in Puerto Lápice, a Manchegan village reminiscent of Don Quixote. We enter Andalusia through Despeñaperros. Arrival in Granada. Lunch included. In the afternoon, if you purchased the tour with the Alhambra visit included, we will visit the immense Alhambra Palace and its beautiful Generalife Gardens, built during the Moorish period, with a local guide.
IMPORTANT: The number of people authorized to visit the Alhambra is limited by law. To guarantee entry, the ticket will be issued upon confirmation of the tour booking. For this, we require the client’s correct personal information (full name and passport/national ID number). As cancellations are not possible, in the event of a booking cancellation, the cost of this ticket will be charged to the client. In very rare cases, the booking may be cancelled, in which case the Royal Alcázar of Seville, which has similar characteristics, will be visited instead.
02 MAR / SAT. Granada – Nerja – Malaga – Ronda – Seville .-
Today we’ll enjoy spectacular scenery as we leave the Sierra Nevada mountain range behind. We’ll then continue our journey along the Mediterranean coast, on the so-called Costa Tropical, where the mild microclimate year-round allows for the cultivation of tropical fruits such as guava, mango, and avocado, and in the past, sugarcane. We’ll stop in Nerja, a charming coastal town with impressive cliffs. We continue to Málaga, the capital of the Costa del Sol, a vibrant city with a beautiful historic center. Time for lunch and a stroll through the city center. We then venture into the mountains of Andalusia, arriving in Ronda, a beautiful white town with its dramatic gorge that bisects the city. We continue to Seville, arriving in the late afternoon. Dinner is included at the hotel.
03 WED / SUN. Seville .-
In the morning, we include a panoramic city tour. You’ll see the cathedral and its famous Giralda tower, the banks of the Guadalquivir River, and the popular Santa Cruz and Triana neighborhoods. After the tour, we’ll include a boat trip on the Guadalquivir River. Enjoy the panoramic views from the boat. In the evening, we offer you the option of attending a popular flamenco show.
04 THU / MON. Seville – Cordoba – Consuegra – Madrid .-
We depart from Seville and, following the Guadalquivir Valley, head to Córdoba, a city renowned for its splendor during the Islamic era, when it was the capital of the Caliphate of Córdoba. With a local guide, we will enjoy a comprehensive visit to its impressive Mosque-Cathedral (entrance included). We will also explore the charming Jewish Quarter, known for its narrow streets and flower-filled patios, true symbols of the city. After lunch, we depart for Castile. We will stop in Consuegra, where 12 giant windmills stand alongside the castle overlooking the plains of La Mancha. We will visit the Molino Rucio windmill. We then return to Madrid.
05 FRI / TUE. Madrid .-
After breakfast, our services will conclude, with the hope of having provided an unforgettable experience.
