Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Japan ( Narita or Haneda) – Tokyo

Narita or Haneda International Airport

Narita (NRT):
After immigration and customs procedures, you will be met in the arrivals hall by a Spanish-speaking assistant who will help you take the Airport Limousine Bus (shared regular service) to the hotel.

The assistant will not board the bus with the passengers and will not escort them to the hotel.
Depending on the flight’s arrival time, there may not be a direct Airport Limousine Bus to the hotel. In that case, passengers will take a bus to Tokyo Station, from where they will take a taxi. (The assistant will give passengers sufficient cash for the taxi fare.)
If the Airport Limousine Bus is not operating, we provide alternative transportation (train + taxi, etc.).

Haneda (HND):

After immigration and customs procedures, you will be met in the arrivals hall by a Spanish-speaking assistant. Transfer to the hotel by taxi.

The assistant will not get into the taxi with the passengers and will not escort them to the hotel.

On the first day of the program (Tuesday or Friday), a Spanish-speaking guide will be available at the hotel from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM to provide information to passengers.

Note:

• In the event of a significant flight delay in Japan, we may not be able to reschedule your arrival transfer. In such a case, we will ask passengers to make their own way to the hotel.

Day 2: Tokyo

Breakfast at the hotel.
08:20 Meeting in the hotel lobby.

Half-day group tour of Tokyo with a Spanish-speaking guide; we will get to know

■ Meiji Shrine, dedicated to the former emperor Mutsuhito
■ Imperial Palace Plaza (Do not enter the palace grounds)

■ Senso -ji Temple & Nakamise Street with rows of souvenir shops

1:00 PM The tour ends in Ginza . Free afternoon.
(The guide will explain to passengers how to return to the hotel.)

OPTIONAL ACTIVITY “TEA CEREMONY” IN ASAKUSA – USD 69 PER PERSON
12:45 After visiting Senso -ji Temple and Nakamise Street in Asakusa , meet with a Spanish-speaking assistant. (The guide will indicate the meeting point during the visit to Senso -ji Temple.)
Walk to the tea ceremony venue with the assistant.

13:00 Start of the tea ceremony

• Explanation of the tea ceremony
• Demonstration of the tea ceremony by a master or teacher
• matcha tea
• Take souvenir photos

Asakusa subway station .

(The assistant will explain to passengers how to return to the hotel or go to Ginza by subway but will not escort them.)

Note:

• Lunch is NOT included. If you get hungry, you should eat something light during your free time on Nakamise Street in Asakusa .

Grades:

• Participants in this optional activity will not travel to Ginza with the group by bus.
• They need to wear socks to participate in the tea ceremony.
• We will not be selling this optional activity at the destination. Passengers need to book it 3 weeks prior to traveling to Japan. Depending on availability, we may not be able to confirm it.

Day 3: Tokyo – Hakone – Tokyo (Breakfast and lunch)

07:50 Meeting in the lobby.

Full-day group excursion to Hakone with a Spanish-speaking guide; we will visit:

■ Lake Ashi (boat trip) On clear days we can admire Mt. Fuji from Lake Ashi

Hakone-jinja Shrine (beautiful Shinto shrine famous for its torii gate built on the shores of Lake Ashi )

Hakone Open Air Museum

17:00 Return to the hotel.

Note:

In the event that the boat does not operate due to heavy rain and wind, we will visit Hakone as an alternative. Sekishoato (reconstruction of a checkpoint on a medieval road).

(Day 4: Tokyo – Kyoto – Nara – Kyoto (Breakfast)

One suitcase per person will be sent separately by truck from the hotel in Tokyo to the hotel in Kyoto.

Note

• When there are more than 40 passengers on a departure, we charter a private truck to transport the luggage from the hotel in Tokyo to the hotel in Kyoto, and in this case the luggage arrives at the hotel in Kyoto in the afternoon of the same day.
• In the low season when there are not enough passengers, we do not charter a truck and use a regular delivery service, and in this case the suitcases arrive at the hotel in Kyoto the next day, so passengers need to carry with them a backpack or small suitcase with clothes and other essentials for spending the night.

08:00 Meeting in the lobby and transfer to Tokyo Station with a Spanish-speaking assistant.

09:21 Departure from Tokyo to Kyoto on the Nozomi bullet train #227.

11:32 Arrival at Kyoto Station where a Spanish-speaking guide will meet you.

Start of the group excursion to Nara. Nara is located one hour away from Kyoto. In Nara we will visit

■Todai-ji Temple (colossal Buddha statue)

■ Nara Park (with many deer)

18:00-18:30 Arrival at the hotel in Kyoto and check in.

Note:

• Lunch is NOT included. We will have free time for lunch.

Day 5: Kyoto (Breakfast and lunch)

Breakfast at the hotel.

08:20 Meeting in the lobby

Full-day group tour of Kyoto with a Spanish-speaking guide; we will visit

Sanjusangendo Temple

(with a thousand statues of Kannon , god of mercy)

Inari Shrine (with thousands of “ torii ” gates)

Kinkaku -ji Golden Temple

■ Tempo Tenryu -ji, with a beautiful Japanese garden

Sagano Bamboo Forest in Arashiyama

17:30 Return to the hotel

Note:

• For those who wish to visit Gion (geisha district), we will continue immediately to this district by bus.
• Gion district and the return to the hotel from there will be at the passengers’ own expense.
• Lunch at a restaurant is included that day.

Day 6: Kyoto (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. The entire day is free for personal activities.

OPTIONAL TOUR TO HIROSHIMA & MIYAJIMA – USD 400 PER PERSON

7:30 AM Meeting in the hotel lobby with the Spanish-speaking guide.
Transfer to Kyoto Station.

08:26 Departure from Kyoto on the Nozomi #3 bullet train.
10:01 Arrival in Hiroshima and start of the visit.

If there are fewer than 10 passengers, we will conduct the tour using public transport.
If there are 10 or more passengers, we will conduct the optional tour by private bus.

We will visit:

■Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima Island

■ Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum

■ Atomic Bomb Dome

Transfer to Hiroshima Station.

17:57 Departure from Hiroshima to Kyoto on the Nozomi bullet train #52.
19:37 The tour ends upon arrival at Kyoto Station.

From the station to the hotel, transfer at the passengers’ own expense by hotel shuttle bus or taxi.

Lunch is NOT included.

Initially, we will not be selling this optional tour at the destination.

Day 7: Kyoto – Kanazawa (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Note:

One suitcase per person will be sent separately by truck from the hotel in Kyoto to the hotel in Tokyo. Please bring a backpack with clothes and other essentials for your 3 nights (1 night in Kanazawa, 1 night in Gero , and 1 night in Osaka).

08:00 Meeting in the lobby with a Spanish-speaking guide and transfer to Kanazawa by private bus (depending on the number of passengers, it could be a van).

12:00 Arrival in Kanazawa

Full-day group tour of Kanazawa; you will visit:

■ Omicho Market (lively market selling fish, seafood, vegetables, etc.)

■ Higashichaya District

■ Kenrokuen Garden (one of Japan’s most famous gardens)

17:00-17:30 Transfer to the hotel in Kanazawa and check -in.

Lunch is NOT included. You will have free time for lunch at the Omicho Market .

Day 8: Kanazawa – Shirakawago – Takayama – Gero (breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel.

08:15 Meeting in the lobby and departure for Shirakawago with a Spanish-speaking guide (in a group); we will visit

Gasshozukuri -style houses

Afterwards, we’ll travel to Takayama where we’ll meet

Kamisannomachi historic district with souvenir shops and sake breweries
■ Yatai Kaikan (exhibition of floats for the Takayama Festival)

18:00 Transfer to the ryokan in Gero and check -in.

ENJOY AN ONSEN (HOT WATER) BATH!

The ryokan in Gero has hot spring baths.

There is one bathroom for women only and another bathroom for men only.

Traditionally, hotels and ryokans do not allow people with conspicuous tattoos to use hot spring baths, as tattoos are associated with the Yakuza (Japanese mafia).

Day 9: Gero – Nagoya – Osaka (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the ryokan .

08:15 Meet in the lobby with a Spanish-speaking guide.
Transfer to Gero Station on foot or by ryokan shuttle bus .

08:46 Departure from Gero to Nagoya on the Wideview express train Hida #4.
10:34 Arrival at Nagoya Station

10:58 Departure from Nagoya to Shin -Osaka on the Nozomi bullet train #227.
11:48 Arrival at Shin -Osaka Station

Tour of Osaka with a Spanish-speaking guide in a group; you will learn

■ Dotonbori (a lively neighborhood with many restaurants featuring eccentric facades, for example , one with a giant crab figure)
■ Osaka Castle (We didn’t go inside the keep, ” Tenshukaku .” We only visited the castle grounds.)

17:00 Transfer to the hotel in Osaka and check -in.

Lunch is NOT included. You will have free time for lunch in Dotonbori .

Day 10: Osaka – Tokyo (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel.

09:15 Meeting in the hotel lobby

Transfer to Shin -Osaka Station by taxi (or private vehicle depending on the number of passengers) with the Spanish-speaking assistant.

10:30 Departure from Shin -Osaka to Tokyo on the Nozomi #10 bullet train.
12:57 Arrival at Tokyo Station.

Transfer to the hotel in Tokyo by taxi (or private vehicle depending on the number of passengers) with the Spanish-speaking assistant.

Arrival at the hotel. Free afternoon.

Guests will not be allowed to enter their room until check -in time (3:00 PM).
They can leave their luggage at reception and explore on their own until then.

Please note : Train schedules are subject to change.

Lunch and sightseeing are NOT included on this day.

Day 11: Tokyo – Departure from Japan ( Narita or Haneda) (breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel

If your check-out time from the hotel is very early, you will not be able to have breakfast at the hotel. Even if you miss breakfast on your last day, there will be no discount or refund.

They will have to vacate their rooms before the hotel’s checkout time (12:00).

If your departure airport is Narita (NRT),
you will be transferred to Tokyo Station by taxi with an English-speaking assistant, and then transferred from the station to Narita Airport by bus. The assistant will help passengers board the bus but will not accompany them to the airport.

IMPORTANT:
The first bus to Narita Airport (NRT) arrives at 6:30 AM. If your flight departs at or before 8:30 AM, the transfer will be by private vehicle without assistance, and a supplement of 45,000 JPY per passenger will apply. (For a single passenger, the supplement will be 90,000 JPY.)

If departure airport is Haneda (HND)
Transfer to Haneda airport by pre-booked taxi without assistance.

When the group is smaller than 10 passengers, visits may be conducted using public transport instead of private vehicles.

Guide

Spanish-speaking guide during the excursions (Days 2 to 5 and 7 to 9) and on the optional tour to Hiroshima (Day 6).

Assistant

Spanish-speaking assistant for the following transfers:

• Day 1: Assistance at the arrival airport to take the Airport Limousine Bus or taxi (no assistance on board).
• Day 4: Transfer from the hotel in Tokyo to Tokyo Station.
• Day 10: Transfer from the hotel in Osaka to Shin Station – Osaka and from Tokyo Station to the New Otani Hotel .

Initially, there will be no assistance in Spanish during the departure transfer.

Meals

Includes daily breakfasts, 3 lunches and 1 dinner (the latter in Japanese style).

Trains

• Nozomi bullet train (Tokyo – Kyoto), with reserved seats in tourist class.
• Day 9:
  • Hida Express train ( Gero – Nagoya), with reserved seats in tourist class.
  • Nozomi bullet train (Nagoya – Shin -Osaka), with reserved seats in tourist class.

Note: In case the Hida Express train ( Gero – Nagoya) does not operate due to heavy rain or other reasons, or if there are no seats available, a bus will be used as an alternative.

• Day 10: Nozomi bullet train ( Shin – Osaka – Tokyo), with reserved seats in tourist class.

Tickets

It includes admission to all the places mentioned in the itinerary.

Audio guide

When the group consists of 15 or more passengers, an audio guide system will be used during the visits, allowing the guide’s explanations to be heard clearly, even from a distance.

Medical assistance for those under 70 years of age (supplement applies for those over 71 years of age)

Luggage Shipping

• Day 4: Suitcases will be transported separately by truck from the hotel in Tokyo to the hotel in Kyoto.
• Day 7: Suitcases will be transported separately by truck from the hotel in Kyoto to the hotel in Tokyo.

Passengers must prepare and carry with them a backpack or hand luggage with what is needed for 3 nights (1 in Kanazawa, 1 in Gero and 1 in Osaka).

Baggage conditions:

• Between airports and hotels, suitcases will be transported in the trunk of the vehicle.
• In principle, 1 suitcase per person is allowed (standard size, up to 23 kg).

Operation based on number of passengers:

• When the group exceeds 40 passengers, a private truck will be hired to transport luggage between Tokyo and Kyoto. In this case, the luggage will arrive the same afternoon.
• During the off-season, when there are not enough passengers, a regular courier service will be used. In this case, luggage will arrive the following day, so passengers should bring a backpack or small suitcase with essentials for one night.

Additional restrictions:

• For transfers between airports and hotels, 1 large suitcase (up to 23 kg) and 1 piece of hand luggage per person are allowed.
• The total combined weight must not exceed 30 kg.
• The sum of the dimensions (height + width + length) of the total luggage must not exceed 2 meters.
