Waterfall Tour. Departures all year round: Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays
Day 1: NEW YORK – FINGER LAKES – NIAGARA FALLS
This morning we depart from the Big Apple heading north, passing through the beautiful Delaware Gap to Watkins Glen State Park in the heart of the Finger Lakes region. We’ll hike through Watkins Glen Canyon to visit the stunning falls and then continue to Niagara Falls, passing Seneca Lake, where we’ll arrive in the late afternoon (the winter itinerary goes to Montour Falls instead of Watkins Glen State Park). We’ll walk along the American side of the falls, including the American Falls, Goat Island, and its twin island. In the evening, we’ll take a day trip to Niagara Falls to admire the colorful illuminated waterfalls.
Overnight at the Comfort Inn in the USA. Overnight at the Ramada by Wyndham in Canada.
Day 2: NIAGARA FALLS – NEW YORK
Upon leaving the hotel, we’ll hear the thunderous roar of the falls. We’ll see the torrents from Horseshoe Falls and feel their power aboard the Maid of the Mist (between May and October). During the winter months, until April, when the Maid of the Mist is closed, we’ll tour the Power Vista hydroelectric station, along with a visit to the Cave of the Winds. At midday, we’ll depart south towards New York City. En route, we’ll enjoy a shopping excursion to one of the largest outlet malls, where you can find the best deals at brand-name and designer stores. In the evening, we’ll return to New York City.
