Day 1 INDIA AND NEPAL TOUR: NEW DELHI
Arrival in New Delhi, the capital of India and one of the most populated cities in the world. Assistance and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2 INDIA AND NEPAL TOUR: NEW DELHI
Breakfast. City tour begins with a panoramic view followed by a visit to Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, located in the heart of Old Delhi. Then, enjoy a rickshaw ride through the bustling Khari Baoli spice market. Visit the Sikh Temple, an architectural beauty. Sikhs practice Seva, or selfless service, which you’ll experience firsthand by participating in the temple’s kitchen, making chapatis, helping with meals, and serving guests. Lunch at a local restaurant. Next, visit Gandhi Smriti (Birla House), where Mahatma Gandhi spent his last 144 days and was assassinated on January 30, 1948. End the day with a drive past government buildings including Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidential Residence), Parliament, and India Gate. Transfer to hotel. Accommodation, breakfast, and dinner.
Day 3 INDIA AND NEPAL TOUR: NEW DELHI – AGRA
Breakfast. Drive to Agra. En route, stop at the Akshardham Hindu Temple, intricately carved with over 20,000 figures, floral motifs, animals, and Hindu deities, with gold decorations. Arrival in Agra and visit Itimad-Ud-Daulah Mausoleum, known as the “Baby Taj,” built between 1622-1628. Afternoon visit to the Taj Mahal, the world’s most famous architectural monument, built between 1631 and 1654 by Emperor Shah Jahan in honor of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Lunch included. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner. Accommodation, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 4: AGRA – FATEHPUR SIKRI – ABHANERI – JAIPUR
Breakfast. Visit the Red Fort, built in red sandstone by Mughal Emperor Akbar between 1565 and 1573. Inside the fortified complex are impressive palaces and noble buildings. Continue to Chand Baori stepwell and Harsha Mata Temple, dedicated to Vishnu. Then visit Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar as his capital in the 16th century. Lunch. Continue to Jaipur, known as the “Pink City,” built in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner. Accommodation, breakfast, and dinner.
Day 5 INDIA AND NEPAL TOUR: JAIPUR (Amber)
Breakfast. Morning excursion to Amber Fort by jeep. Visit the palace’s rooms and halls, famous for their exquisite design and decoration. The main gate is stunning, adorned with bas-reliefs and floral motifs, and features the elephant god Ganesh above the doorway. From inside, women observed unseen through stone lattice windows. The interior includes the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), with walls inlaid with tiny mirrors. Stop by Jal Mahal, the Water Palace. Visit the monkey temple Galta ji and a local market. Afternoon visit to Jantar Mantar observatory, built in 1700, which still seems futuristic. Visit the City Palace, the Maharaja’s Palace, and Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds) with its iconic pink and white façade and almost a million windows and screens. End the day with a visit to a Hindu temple to witness the Aarti Ceremony. Dinner at Shahpura House Palace, a spectacular early 19th-century Mughal and Indian-style palace, followed by a traditional Rajasthani dance show in a lush garden. Included lunch. Return to hotel. Accommodation, breakfast, and lunch.
Day 6 INDIA AND NEPAL TOUR: JAIPUR – NEW DELHI
Start the day early with a yoga and meditation session. Breakfast. Drive to Delhi. Included lunch and dinner. Arrival in Delhi. Accommodation, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Day 7 INDIA AND NEPAL TOUR: NEW DELHI – KATHMANDU
Breakfast. Free time until transfer to the airport for flight to Kathmandu. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Dinner included. Accommodation, breakfast, and dinner.
Day 8 INDIA AND NEPAL TOUR: KATHMANDU (Patan)
Breakfast. Morning tour of the “City of Glory” including Kumari Ghar, the temple of the world’s only living goddess, a brief stop at Kal Bhairab, the god of Destruction, and the Taleju Temple built in 1549. Visit Swayambhunath Stupa, one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the world, perched on a hill with a stunning view of the Kathmandu Valley. Known as the Monkey Temple. Afternoon visit to Patan, south of Kathmandu, renowned for its arts and crafts. Also called Lalitpur, the “beautiful city,” and believed to be founded by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. Visit the recently opened museum, Krishna Temple, Golden Monastery, and Mahabodhi Temple. Return to Kathmandu. Dinner included. Accommodation, breakfast, and dinner.
Day 9 INDIA AND NEPAL TOUR: KATHMANDU
Breakfast. Free day with optional visit to Bhaktapur, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath. Explore Bhaktapur, “City of Devotees,” with narrow streets, temples, and ancient homes. Visit the Golden Gate, 55 Window Palace, Lion Gate, Nyatapola Temple (Nepal’s tallest), Bhairab Temple, and Dattatreya Temple. Afternoon visit to Pashupatinath, a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva on the sacred Bagmati River. Only Hindus may enter the temple; others observe from across the river. End with a visit to Boudhanath, the world’s largest Buddhist stupa, featuring four pairs of eyes facing each cardinal direction. Visits and dinner included. Accommodation, breakfast, and dinner.
Day 10: KATHMANDU
Breakfast. Free time until transfer to the airport for your return flight.
