DAY 1 China Tour: Beijing

Arrival in Beijing, capital of the People’s Republic of China. Transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure, lunch not included. Overnight stay.

DAY 2: Beijing (Forbidden City + Summer Palace)

Buffet breakfast. Today we will visit: the Imperial Palace, known as the “Forbidden City”, Tiananmen Square, one of the largest in the world, and the Summer Palace, which was a summer garden for the Qing Dynasty imperial family. Lunch included.

OPTION: In the evening, attend an Acrobatic Show, at an additional cost quoted separately as mentioned below.

DAY 3: Beijing (Great Wall + Olympic Park)

Buffet breakfast. Excursion to the Great Wall (Juyongguan Pass or Badaling depending on operational details from Fantástica China), a spectacular and grand architectural work over 2,000 years old. Lunch included. In the afternoon, return to the city and stop near the “Bird’s Nest” (National Stadium) and the “Water Cube” (National Aquatics Center) for photos (no entry to stadiums). End the day with a welcome dinner featuring delicious Beijing Roast Duck. Overnight stay.

DAY 4: Beijing – Xi’an by high-speed train

Buffet breakfast. Visit to the Temple of Heaven, built in 1420 and covering 267 hectares, where emperors prayed for good harvests. Lunch included. In the afternoon, transfer to the train station to take the HIGH-SPEED TRAIN in Tourist Class to Xi’an, China’s ancient capital with 3,000 years of history, the only walled capital and starting point of the famous “Silk Road”. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

DAY 5: Xi’an (Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum)

Buffet breakfast. Visit the famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, which houses over 6,000 life-size figures representing a great army guarding Emperor Qin’s tomb. Lunch included. In the afternoon, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda (no climb), located inside Jianfu Temple about one kilometer south of downtown Xi’an, and end with a visit to the Muslim Quarter (without entering the Great Mosque). Overnight stay.

DAY 6: Xi’an – SHANGHAI (City Tour)

Buffet breakfast. Flight to Shanghai, a port city directly under Central Government with over 16 million inhabitants, the largest port, commercial center, and most international metropolis in China. Lunch included. Visit the Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple, and the city’s Bund. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

DAY 7 China Tour: Shanghai

Buffet breakfast. Free day. Lunch NOT included. Overnight stay.

DAY 8 China Tour: Shanghai

Buffet breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport.
