Day 1: NEW YORK \u2013 FINGER LAKES \u2013 NIAGARA FALLS<\/strong><\/p>\n


In the morning, we leave the Big Apple and head north, passing through the beautiful Delaware Water Gap on our way to Watkins Glen State Park, located in the heart of the Finger Lakes region. We will hike through Watkins Glen Canyon to visit its stunning waterfalls, then continue to Niagara Falls via Seneca Lake, arriving in the afternoon. (In winter, we visit Montour Falls instead of Watkins Glen State Park).<\/em>
We\u2019ll tour the U.S. side of Niagara Falls, including the American Falls, Goat Island, and its sister island. In the evening, enjoy the spectacular view of the illuminated waterfalls.

Day 2: NIAGARA FALLS \u2013 NEW JERSEY<\/strong><\/p>\n


After checking out, we\u2019ll hear the thunderous sound of Niagara Falls. See the falls from Horseshoe Falls and feel their power aboard the Maid of the Mist<\/strong> (May to October). During winter (until April), when the Maid of the Mist is closed, we\u2019ll visit the Power Vista Hydroelectric Station<\/strong> and the Cave of the Winds<\/strong>.
At midday, we head south into New York State. Along the way, we\u2019ll enjoy a shopping excursion at one of the largest outlet malls, offering great deals on brand-name and designer goods. We arrive at our hotel in New Jersey in the evening.

Day 3: NEW JERSEY \u2013 PHILADELPHIA \u2013 WASHINGTON, D.C.<\/strong><\/p>\n


We depart from New Jersey to Pennsylvania, arriving in the City of Brotherly Love\u2014Philadelphia. In the historic district, we\u2019ll visit the Liberty Bell<\/strong>, a symbol of American independence, Constitution Square and Hall<\/strong>, Congress Hall<\/strong>, and Elfreth\u2019s Alley<\/strong>, the oldest continuously inhabited residential street in the nation.
We\u2019ll continue with a panoramic tour of the financial district, Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Historic Philadelphia, and more. As we leave the city, we\u2019ll pass by the famous \u201cRocky Steps.\u201d<\/strong>
We then head to Lancaster County<\/strong>, home to the Amish community<\/strong>.
Here, we\u2019ll take a fun and educational ride in an authentic Amish buggy<\/strong> through the farms to learn how the Amish live without modern conveniences such as electricity, running water, phones, or appliances. We\u2019ll discover how they adapt and create self-sufficient farms using renewable energy sources.
After exploring this unique culture, we\u2019ll visit an Amish marketplace<\/strong>, where you can purchase handmade crafts and goods.
In the afternoon, we continue to Washington, D.C.

Day 4: WASHINGTON, D.C. \u2013 NEW YORK<\/strong><\/p>\n


We begin the day with a visit to the Thomas Jefferson Memorial<\/strong>, located along the Tidal Basin, surrounded by the famous Japanese cherry blossom trees.
Next is a visit to Arlington National Cemetery<\/strong>, where we\u2019ll witness the Changing of the Guard<\/strong> and visit the Kennedy family mausoleum<\/strong>.
Our next stop is Capitol Hill<\/strong>, where we\u2019ll see the U.S. Capitol<\/strong> and the White House<\/strong>, learning about the core institutions of the American government.
We\u2019ll continue to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum<\/strong>, followed by visits to the Lincoln Memorial<\/strong>, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial<\/strong>, Korean War Memorial<\/strong>, and Vietnam Veterans Memorial<\/strong>.
In the afternoon, we return to New York, arriving in the evening.
