ITINERARY

Day 1 – LAS VEGAS – SEDONA

We begin our tour of Las Vegas by traveling through the Mojave Desert and heading towards the Colorado Plateau and historic Route 66 to reach Sedona, known as “The Jewel of the Desert” and considered one of the most beautiful places in North America. We will drive through the impressive Oak Creek Canyon, descending 2,000 feet (610 meters) into the valley floor. We’ll stop to take photos of the red rocks and surrounding views from Oak Creek Canyon’s viewpoints. We will also visit Slide Rock State Park. Then, we’ll stop for lunch in Sedona, where you can find authentic Native American crafts, as well as galleries and boutiques unique to the area. After the break, we’ll head into the desert to visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross (self-guided visit using local shuttle service) and enjoy panoramic views of Sedona’s rock formations, including Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte, and Cathedral Rock. At sunset, we’ll leave Sedona and head to Flagstaff for the night.
Accommodation: Clarion Inn – Page

Day 2 – SEDONA – MONUMENT VALLEY – HORSESHOE BEND

This morning we’ll head to Monument Valley, one of the most iconic symbols of the American West and one of the most majestic and photographed places in the world. In the heart of the Navajo Nation, you’ll find this majestic park featuring sandstone masterpieces, rising between 400 to 1,000 feet (up to 300 meters). Surrounding these towers are mesas, buttes, shrubs, and trees. Our tour begins with Jeep rides guided by Navajo locals. We’ll explore the valley and understand why the Navajo say “there’s no other place like it on Earth.” We’ll then leave the park and head to the mighty Colorado River. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Horseshoe Bend, another spectacular and unique panoramic view in this region.
Accommodation: Clarion Inn – Page

Day 3 – ANTELOPE CANYON – VALLEY OF FIRE – LAS VEGAS

We start the day at what the Navajo call “where water runs through rocks.” We’ll explore the upper Antelope Canyon and witness the spectacular dunes created by wind, water, and sand. Words are not enough to describe the formations shaped by Mother Nature. After our excursion, we’ll leave this breathtaking area and return to Las Vegas. Along the way, we’ll stop for lunch and then visit the Valley of Fire, named for its magnificent red sandstone formations, created by shifting sands and dunes during the dinosaur era, over 150 million years ago. Our visit is timed to catch the sunlight’s reflection that makes the valley appear ablaze (weather permitting). We’ll arrive in Las Vegas by nightfall.
Accommodation: Harrah’s Hotel

Day 5 – LAS VEGAS – GRAND CANYON – PAGE

We begin the day heading southeast through the desert and across the Navajo Indian Reservation before arriving at the South Rim of one of the “Seven Natural Wonders of the World”—the Grand Canyon. We’ll tour the South Rim and learn how the Colorado River carved its way to the sea, creating this geological wonder. After lunch, we’ll continue along the rim, stopping at Native American markets to explore handmade crafts. After enjoying the market, we’ll head to the Page and Lake Powell area for the night.
Accommodation: Clarion Inn – Page

Day 6 – ANTELOPE CANYON – BRYCE CANYON

We begin the day where “Water Runs Through the Rocks,” as described in local Navajo folklore. We’ll tour Antelope Canyon and see the breathtaking dunes sculpted by wind, water, and sand. After our visit, we’ll depart this incredible area and head west to Bryce Canyon, home to the world’s most stunning natural rock sculptures. Our tour takes us to rock and sand formations polished by millions of years of rain, wind, and sun. Experience the unique color changes at sunset from one of the park’s viewpoints (subject to daylight hours). After the visit, we’ll continue to Kanab.
Accommodation: Quality Inn Kanab
(Some departures continue to Cedar City for the night)
Accommodation: Comfort Inn Cedar City

Day 7 – ZION NATIONAL PARK – LAS VEGAS

After breakfast, we head to Zion National Park. The park was named by the Mormons who settled in the area and claimed that visiting Zion was like a religious experience; the majesty of the mountains and the serenity of nature made them feel transported to another world. We’ll tour the park and enjoy a short walking trail along the Virgin River, which runs through the park, before leaving this incredible area and arriving back in Las Vegas by early evening.
